regulation, bank reform and internet control

Here are a couple links from Politico, that point to the differences between the Gop and Dem on reform, regulation, no regulation etc.,
Gop silently repealing banking reform,

and one about internet regulation

Seems to me, pubs want no regs on banking while dems do. Dems want no regs on the net while dems do.

  2. The Dems are attempting to exert government control over the internet. Al Franken the failed comedian can spin it any way he wants to, but more government control has never been a good thing. He talks of the internet being "Privatized", as if it hasn't always been that way. He talks about some people getting faster speeds while others who can't afford it have to use slow speeds. HELLO!!! There are different tiers available for different prices. I recently downgraded my speed through COX to save money. I don't have any problem doing everything I have always done online. If the government gets their sticky fingers into the internet business, that will be all she wrote for the freedoms we now enjoy.
Remember when the White house wanted you to send them any links where people were talking crap on Obama? Multiply that by 1000, and you will see where this is headed. They want to have neutrality in radio also, which means they can shut down the right wing talk radio shows that point out all the mistakes they are making.

    2012 can't come fast enough.

  3. Good Points TOM,

Once upon a time it was up to companies to regulate their own industry groups! In steps the lobbyist and NOW the big get bigger and get even more control through Government regualtions!

Let them FIGHT IT OUT a businesses - even the BIG can FALL from the PUBLICS Grace!

Btw: It was all too convenient that the "BIG" say they are too BIG to FAIL! How can they lose when Government Props them UP with taxpayer dollars!

    CAN YOU SAY MONOPOLIES!

When was the last time you ever heard of a ANTI-TUST LAWSUIT?
    (Wasn't it the Baby Bells?)

  4. There are much deeper, and more sinister, issues at play than just the 'dems' vs the 'pubs'.

How about the federal reserve 'system'(can you say prescott bush, dupont, jp morgan, jekeyl island; or rothchild, machevellian; or perhaps operation ajax; iran-contra; israeli mousahd; pakastani ISI; Team B II analsis report; operation northwood; core of corruption; and I could more than fill the capacity of this blog site in continuing.

We, 'the people', have been bamfoozelled for, in the very least, the past hundred years. Know this, that when you call me, or anyone else, a conspiracy theorist, you only show your lack of application to obtain the real truth behind matters of documented history. I think it was Einstein who said "foolish faith in authority is the enemy of truth".

On a lighter note, of all the bloggers I have read on this site, I can only say:

    TOM SAWYER FOR PRESIDENT

  7. Yeah, well, too bad I can't vote for you, I don't have a valid ID card. Can't afford one (guess that means I would have voted Dem anyway, so no loss to you, right?)
