Gone to Texas
Hello everyone.
I think there are still a few readers out there. I have taken a job down around Texas and will be starting there very soon .. as in later this week. Its been in the works for awhile and that is one reason i did not file for the commission race but it was not official until this past weekend.
Anyways, Ill not be around Arkansas City much anymore. Just on weekends for awhile, before we make the move. That is assuming things work out well there. But if not ill come back and see what happens then.
So a new adventure will begin late this week. I am being intentionally vague about where the job is for a good paranoid reason. :)
So just wanted to say adios.
Ill leave the blog up for awhile so you all can cuss and discuss everything.
Or if people let me know they are still interested in reading it, i might post weekly for awhile.
Hopefully ill fare better than Davy Crockett. When he left Tennessee, after he lost his bid for reelection to congress, he said, to heck with you all, im going to Texas. He went from there to the Alamo.

Update on the blog
Hello everyone
I have been in Oklahoma and Texas recently on business. So I have not had time to do much updating or reporting.
Also, I am heading out to Tennessee now. I have had a death in the family and need to be there.
I might try to update some this week.
But likely will be next week before I can even think about doing anything much on here.

Swiss gun control
Here is a link to an interesting story about guns in Switzerland. Most of Europe tends to not like our ideas about guns, but it appears the Swiss love their guns and wont give them up.

Something new
Ok Sports Fans. I was just wondering about something.
Can we do a post and discussion of things you like? or have enjoyed recently.
Just post something you enjoyed recently .. big or small.
Here is is my contribution.
Sunday Piper Lee Ewing sang at our church. It was really good. I dont even remember the song. I had forgotten what a voice she has. That was really nice. She is singing again tonight at College Hill Coffee Shop in Winfield, along with Tim Durham and some others. .. so im excited about that.

Cowley games moved again
The Cowley College men and women's Homecoming basketball games versus Kansas City have been moved to Monday. Women's game at 6 p.m. and men's game at 8. Fans are being asked to wear white in support of the Tigers. The first 100 students in attendance will receive a free white Cowley t-shirt.
