  1. Heard some talk that we might be surprised at some of the names of those arrested today. Don't know how true that is, could just be unfounded rumor or gossip. We'll see tomorrow.

  2. Did you copy and paste that list from KAKE's website. The reason I ask is you both have ICE listed twice, and in the same order. Was it a press release from the PD?

  3. Probably from the pd, since kwch has the same list. Maybe best not to jump to conclusions?

  5. i feel anytime we get a drug dealer or user off the streets it is a big deal. i know a lot of the crime around here is done by people trying to get money to buy drugs so the fewer te better. HOWEVER i also see the same people back on the streets time and time again. and they don't stop using. same for drunk driving. how long before we get fed up with the revolving door and say STOP! just asking. don't have answers.d.

  6. I would bet my wisdom teeth this is cartel related. Straight from Mexico to our "little mexico". Bringing the packing house here is really paying off!

  8. Intersting blog on News Cow today!
There was a point where the discussion turned to parenting. It seemed there were both sides present - the ones who felt sorry for the ones caught. Then those who were less sympathetic!
But, NO ONE that saw the dealers and users as addicts preyed upon by those who would profit from illegal drugs. The real people who want to get them addicted! Regardless of who they were or how they were raised!!!!!!!!!!

    THEN

Have you noticed that in recent years it isn't the casual recreational drugs as much as the hard core addictive drugs that keep recurring in the courts! (Meth and Coke)

If you can't see it as a WAR in the Streets against your family, your kids and Grandkids!

    There can be no Winners!

  9. I read the blog at different times during the day and I was irritated by the comments from people putting the acpd down as well as Chief Wallace just wanting the publicity. Most of the pd does a fine job and everyone should be thankful we have a go getter Chief in charge that is out to make Ark City a better place...unless they have something to hide.

I also saw a discussion on marijuana being a safer drug, maybe yes, maybe no. For some it relaxes and others it can make them paranoid. It also affects the short term memory with repeated use.

There is no right or wrong answer, everyone is different and its up to the individual if they want to really stop. One of my daughters got a dui and learned a hard lesson. Throwing an addict in prison or jail is not going to solve the problem. The police do their job and then its up to the court and the way I see it is that the moolah talks in alot of instances.

  10. My stance on marijuana is that since it really in no more harmful than alcohol and cigarettes, make it legal, put the same type of restrictions on it, such as DUI, age limits, etc. And then tax the hell out of it like they do cigarettes. There would be a lot more tax revenue if they did. By they way I don't smoke, cigarettes or pot, if you were wondering. Just drink a few beers every now and then!

Yeah, yeah, yeah...sounds kind of like, "I didn't inhale"

  12. Wondering? At the press conference, did not see the customary table loaded with drugs, cash and guns. Makes one wonder how "MAJOR" this was.

  13. Thats kind of what I thought. Although, perserving evidence is a very touchy process. But I would have thought if they had a "MAJOR" drug bust, they would have been more specific on what they actually did take off the streets. IMO
