Tuesday update

Cop notes are posted. Also, a report from last night's school board meeting.
The local schools are dipping into contingency funds to make ends meet on a temporary basis. They say the state is not sending them the amount that was budgeted. The whole school finance thing could get a lot more interesting.
This has nothing to do with the bond issue passed last year. They are two separate animals.

I also put other things on the site last night, some news from Cowley and so forth.

  1. Good job on that report from the school board meeting. I have no idea where I might have seen one like that before. Wow!

  2. I am afraid that it will get so much worse before it gets better. We are not seeing the big picture, if the school district sues the state they are really suing us the tax payer. We need to understand every impact is on us. Stop talking about suing and start reducing administration, not teachers, not classes, administration. We have lots of adminstration at the state level, not just the district offices but their bosses and their bosses bosses, If we look for cuts up high where they will really make a difference maybe then they will understand.

  3. Man, this blog has really gone to hell since the shutdown. Looks like your brother-in-law won the war after all.

  4. I guess it has gone down some. I am having to try to make an actual living now though, so that is having an impact.
There doesnt seem to be much discussion either.
I do have some things to write about, and will do so soon.
