Obama kids book gets fox news treatment

  1. What struck me was not the title change, but this:

When did Obama have time to write a book? In between Vacations and Golf outings?

Shouldn't he have more pressing thigs to deal with?

  2. Ah well you know he didn't really write it. Most - if not all - books by politicians and celebrities are ghost written. Its just a way to make some cash by putting his name on it. It might have been his idea, but maybe even the idea for the book came from an enterprising ghost writer who suggested it to an aide. Id bet a dollar he never even saw the book before it came out, and he still may not have seen it...
just the reality of writing these days.
There are quiet a few writers making a good living writing books for celebrities. or politicians.

  3. If that's the case, then that is dishonest at best.

  4. Sure it is. But realize, any book written by any politician or any celebrity is the same. Bush's book was the same. Im sure he didnt write it.
that was my point, ... none of these famous people actually write their own books.

  5. Good point on Bush's book. Even more interesting, as much as he didn't like the media, he's sure in bed with "all" of them to promote it.

  6. Ap - Reported that Bush's new book sold (Random House) 775,000 copies the first week with 100,000 from E-book sales alone!

  7. Whatever. jj has a point. Who writes their own books anymore? (or at least has a helper)

One thing is for sure, Pres. Bush is not doing it for the money. The man deserves a medal. He's endured 2 years and hasn't said a word. This book is still silent in lots of areas. I don't think Pres. O. has made a single speech of note that he hasn't blamed Bush.

Can't say the same for Pres. Carter during Pres. Bush's term. Doesn't matter...The dems just voted Pelosi as their minority leader. And, thanks to the dems going to recess in order to campaign and not dealing with it, looks like we're all in line for a hefty tax increase. Ahhh, I feel all better now...

  8. I don't see exactly what is wrong with a good, healthy tax increase. Kinda hard to spend without one.

  9. I know you're kiddin'...seriously. But, for the other people's benefit...No way we could cut anything. Like the waste/fraud in Medicare/Medicaid. Like the Pork Barrel merry-go-round. (ex. the "bridge to nowhere") Like the fat cat government salaries. Like the 16,000 new IRS workers already mandated by Obamacare. Like the hundreds of thousands of gov't workers pushing paper. Like...oh well. Let's just tax 'em some more.

Never mind that fully 50% of people pay NO federal tax. It's those rich SOB's. They're the reason poor people are poor. They're the reason things have gone to h#ll.

"The rich are not paying their fair share." -Barack Obama
