:-) Ahhhh,...I feel all better now.

  3. Take a look around and then tell me with a straight face that the economy is improving.

Oh wait, there's an election coming up that Obama is already busy campaigning for, so the economy is on the rise. As we get closer to the election it will rise farther and farther until on the first Monday of November, 2012, the country will be a utopia of hope and change. And if not, well then it's all Bush's fault.

  4. Standard and Poors is going to down grade our bond rating, China is going demand payment on our debt, we have a nearly 15% unemployment rate, gas is going to hit $5.00 per gallon, and housing starts are at an all time low... Happy days are here again....

  5. and housing starts are at an all time low...

You left out the deflationary cycle that is occuring in housing in some areas of the Country!

Places where housing prices are falling year over year and are putting homeowners (some who may already be under water on their loans) at risk of WALKING AWAY from those loans and PROPERTIES!

(But, it might be a good time to buy a house if you could only get a loan, had a job or wanted to move! Then again those houses might get alot cheaper!)

  6. Yeah JJ, how dare you try to use facts from a librul rag like the AP. Pubs will not stand for it!!

  7. Obama FINALLY released his birth certificate.

Good job Donald. I've no doubt that although Trump would make a lousy President, if not for his publicity on the birth issue, Obama would never have released it. Now we are still left to wonder why he took so long in doing so.

Maybe he will release his college records next.

    Nah.

  8. Reading a little more about Obama releasing his birth certificate, I came across this:

"We do not have time for this kind of silliness. We've got better stuff to do. I've got better stuff to do. We've got big problems to solve." -Obama on releasing his birth certificate

I would not call making sure the laws of this nation are upheld "silliness". The people wanted to know that Obama was legally eligible to be POTUS. I wouldn't call that silliness at all. But then we are talking about a president who thinks it's silly that we care about being overran by illegal aliens too. A president who has made border patrol agents stop arresting illegals. A president who has done nothing to discourage or stop illegal immigration, and has tried passing amnesty for all those law breakers. So I guess it's par for the course.

  9. Tom - My inkling that you are a troll has now been proven. JJ, he's just a poor sap looking for someone to be impressed by his cut/paste skills. He knows you'll argue with him, so he comes back.

To me, you are an obvious troll.

    ReplyDelete
  10. I don't get your point. A troll is someone who purposefully tries to say what others will disagree with simply to stir the pot or cause trouble. I believe every word I write on here. And, it seems to be the majority opinion of the visitors of this blog.

Since all YOU can do is swoop in every so often with a snide comment and ZERO beneficial input, and ZERO facts, that would make YOU the troll, would it not?

If you had a leg to stand on in any of these debates, you wouldn't have to resort to name calling.

Come back when you've done some research.

  11. I simply don't debate pubs. It's like wrestling with a pig.

    ReplyDelete
  12. @4:24 Now that's just plain weak and lame.

    "I simply don't..."
Tom, though a bit rough around the edges (IMO) at least makes his points with a bit of fact and discourse. You, on the other hand find it more effective to cut & run. But, you'd rather throw a stone or two before you do. (seriously, did you have to resort to name calling?)

A bit of debate is healthy and makes all of us better. The strong stay & jostle, the weak run for cover.

Weak, weak as water. Tell your story walkin'.

    ReplyDelete
  13. 1:41 & 4:24 is weak. If you had a debate, I'm sure you would offer it.

    ReplyDelete
  14. "a BIT of fact" - very accurate

Never called anyone any names. The pig reference is from a quote by G.B. Shaw. Google it - it's quite profound.

Again - debate is fine. What you 3 do is not debate. You will never compromise, you will never see the other side. It is impossible to debate politics with people who use terms like "Pro-abortion, Obamacare, anti-gun, etc." Thus the troll accusation. You're just trying to get a rise. You have actually brought less than to this party than I.

  15. You have actually brought less than to this party than I.

If you are reffering to the Socialist or Communist Party? (Sorry Progressives that's what you really represent or want as a style or form of Government).

I hope we "Three" haven't contributed a single thing!

    ReplyDelete
  16. @7:13. Amen!

@7:13. I think you missed out on how a debate works in your polisci class. See, one side (we conservatives) has a position, and they defend that position because it is what they believe. The other side (you and all your left wing radical progressives) have your position, and you defend that position because it is what you believe.

But you don't want to debate because you know you can't convert us?

You have done nothing to defend your position and convince us that turning this country into Mother Russia circa 1985 is the best thing for us all. You don't really have an argument when you say we won't listen to your side and come around to thinking the way you do, when all you do is throw verbal jabs and then run. You have your position, and we have ours. I don't expect you to bend to our way of thinking, and you should not expect us to bend to yours. But in defending our positions, maybe we will help someone else who may read this, (I know, not likely) decide their path.

@5:07. I take small offense at you calling that poster weak as water. As Bruce Lee said: "If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water my friend."

    Just kidding.

  17. oops, that second part is meant for 7:03, not 7:13. My mistake.

  18. Do you realize one can be a dem w/o being a progressive? Or one can be considered a dem w/o being a liberal? You are a pub, but that doesn't necessarily make you a facist reactionary.

My point with politics is that, for all intents and purposes, our lives are the same. I will debate that til the cows come home (no, I'm not calling you cows). No one's standard has changed in their lifetime based on the political process.

    ReplyDelete
  19. You assume I am a republican just because I am conservative. You know what happens when you assume things, right?! In fact, I am usually registered as an independent. I did change to republican during the last primary, because you are forced to choose a side if you want to vote in the primary, but normally I am registered independent. I do carry many values that are stereotypical Republican, but also many that would be considered libertarian.

    ReplyDelete
  20. So, why so anti-left? Being libertarian in ideals puts you real close to classic liberalism.

    ReplyDelete
  21. "Libertarianism is a political philosophy that upholds individual liberty, especially freedom of expression and action. Libertarianism includes diverse beliefs and organizations–all advocate either the minimization or the elimination of the state, and the goal of maximizing individual liberty and freedom."

That doesn't sound like liberalism to me. Liberals want a nanny state, not freedom from state.

  22. Look around honestly.
    The economy is improving.
I can tell it even in the freelance business.
Last year I was having to look, search, hustle to get assignments.
Now im turning them away, and not just because i have a regular job not either.

You dont hear about as many businesses folding as there were a year or two ago...
Youll never admit things are getting better.
    but things are.
And when they do that national debit and deficit will go down.
Also removing tax breaks from the top 5 percent of the wealthiest would help a lot to.

  23. I bet you wouldn't get so many writing assignments if people read this blog and saw all the type-o's and how bad you spell. You should take a couple of extra seconds and read through your posts before hitting enter.

    ReplyDelete
  24. "type-o's" has an apostrophe? What belongs to type-o that makes it possessive? Or is it simply plural?

    ReplyDelete
  25. oops, sorrie it must have bene a tipe-oh. The point remanes thogh, for a jurnalist, you spell bad, and punctuate worse.

    ReplyDelete
  26. My point is - how would you know? Your syntax is just as bad. And then try to laugh it off the way my 16 year old does.

  27. Initial Jobless Claims EXPLODE To 474K
    Joe Weisenthal | May 5, 2011, 8:30 AM | 1,139 T

    Way worse than expected.

Initial jobless claims surged to 474K.

Analysts were looking for just 400K.

Stocks are sliding further on the news.

There's some talk that the auto shutdown was an issue, as well as holidays, but still. This is the biggest spike since last August.

Another possible issue is the tornado.

  28. One apostrophe, admittedly in the wrong place this once, makes my syntax bad? My syntax was learned in High School. I am not a professional journalist. I don't pretend to be a professional journalist. I never will be a professional journalist. ThatAPOSTROPHEs the difference!
