Enrollment for Arkansas City Public Schools is Wed., August 11 and Thurs., August 12, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Enrollment for all grades will take place at the middle school, located at 400 E. Kansas Ave. Grades Pre-K through 5 will enroll in the gym, grades 6-8 will enroll in the office/foyer area, and grades 9-12 will enroll in the middle school cafeteria.
Parents of first-time students should bring the student’s birth certificate, proof of immunizations, and Social Security card. High school students that are new to the district may enroll early on Wed., August 4 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the middle school’s 6th Grade Center.
The school district has waived all basic textbook fees for the 2010-2011 school year, however, some additional fees may be required based on the student’s course load.
School will start August 26 for grades 1-12 and September 2 for Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten students.
