  3. In other news.....

Ark City Industries has changed their policy. The new rule is that a member of ACI can not hold more than seven shares of ACI stock.

Of course those that had more than seven shares before this ruling are grandfathered in.... ACI is maybe worried about someone buying up ACI stock to get a controlling interest?

  4. Do you suppose those two parcels on W. Madison are the ones listed in the Public County Parcel Search under ACI in the name of Mr. Shaeller?
    Isn't he with HNB?

  5. Probably are. That is where they are and they want to give them to the city.

  9. So, if the City paid taxes on property it owned, wouldn't it be assessing for funds to pay taxes on something that we already pay taxes for. The city gets money from us. I think we already pay taxes for city owned property.

Although, it would be a nice iteration and neat way to generate more revenue.

Headline: City raises taxes to Citizens so that City can pay taxes on taxpayer owned property.

  10. Headline: City raises taxes to Citizens so that City can pay taxes on taxpayer owned property.

    Maybe the headline is:

ACI gives Property to the City - takes a tax deduction and property is taken off the tax rolls as Public Property!
No income to the city from a business or private land owner!
