Arkansas City will not be the focus now, but we can still talk about the town. For now the blog is a blog in search of an identity. Considering what the new niche will be.

AP – This undated booking photo released by the Lewisville Police Department via The Dallas Morning News shows … .By JEFF CARLTON, Associated Press Writer Jeff Carlton, Associated Press Writer – 1 hr 10 mins ago DALLAS – Police searched Wednesday for a Texas man authorities say used two chain saws to decapitate his wife before leaving her body in the street near their suburban Dallas home.
Maria Corona's body was found around 11 a.m. Monday by a postal worker outside the family's one-story brick home in Lewisville, located about 25 miles outside Dallas, authorities said.
Police arrived at the home, shortly after the mail carrier called 911, and found a trail of blood from the body to the home, according to a search warrant affidavit. Two chain saws with blades covered in blood were on the tailgate of a pickup truck in the driveway. One of the chain saws was still running, the affidavit said.
Police said an arrest warrant had been issued for 49-year-old Jose Fernando Corona, charging him with the murder of his wife.
"Witnesses in the neighborhood did hear a chain saw running, but that was all they heard," Lewisville police Capt. Kevin Deaver said. "It was an extremely gruesome scene. The method of death was brutal." more of the story here http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100429/ap_on_re_us/us_texas_chainsaw_death
The AZ law does nothing. You've always needed an ID to do anything of note. i.e., drive, buy a house, get a checking acct., etc. If anything, it puts MORE pressure on the Officers & Deputies. Read it. They can't just willy nilly stop any hispanic person. They have to have cause to ask for ID & document everything and call ICE. I don't see why everyone's in such an uproar. It's always been illegal to be in the U.S. w/out proper documentation. Methinks someone may be trying to make political hay w/this. I guess we could scrap the entire U.S./AZ immigration policies and carbon copy Mexico's immigration policies. Trust me, you DO NOT want to get caught in Mexico as an illegal alien. Just a thought.
I dont know what Mexico you went to. When Ive been to Mexico, ive not had to do anything to get into the country. while there no one paid any attention as far as cops go. rarely even saw one. you only need a tourist card in mexico. you dont need any papers. unless you ......
In Mexico, it is a FELONY to be an illegal alien. You can be imprisoned! Many from the South are beaten or killed for entering Mexico illegally. Yet Mexico's President bashes the AZ law? Hypocrite. They rely on the illegals sending money back to Mexico.
@7:17 Point taken. I don't doubt your experience for a minute. But, consider this: you show up as a wealthy American. But the ones who would make their way thru Mex to the U.S. and have NO money or resources face a vastly different plight. Look, I'm no racist. But facts are facts. Laws are laws. If the law is wrong, then we should go thru due process and change it. If I lived in Mex., I'd want out too. I've seen it 1sthand. Poverty. If one cares to read, the Mexican laws are far, far more stringent on this than ours.

Just one writer's opinion here, but with the power of google, you can read to your hearts content and if you do am sure you would come to same conclusion as D.Q. eh? You can't just break the laws you don't like and obey the ones you do like. That's called anarchy.
I've been to Mexico 5 times. On the island of Cozumel they have one gas station. There are like 3 or 4 police officers with machine guns by the gas station. Makes you wonder what they need those for?
I think I had a traffic violation and I couldn't hardly understand what the officer was telling me and figured out he just wanted me to pay HIM money! I don't even know what I did wrong.
And I had to have a drivers license and my birth certificate to enter Mexico.
Ive gone on the super cheap as a mexican tourist. people thought i was european - british - and i didnt mind that. thats the real mexico. i stayed in merida for $2 a night, and was just a short bus ride to the beach, while people in cancun were paying 200 a night and crowded.
you guys are gonna get this blog pulled down too. give it a rest. if you wanna tell those creepy jokes, do it at your own dinner table. some of us enjoy discussing things on here...intelligently. Please & thank you.
I think its more about Freedom of Speech! He doesn't have to agree - he just defends their right to think or say it! That is as long as its not obscene, morally unacceptable, threatening or directed at one specific individual!
Two blondes are walking through the woods when they come across a set of tracks. The first one says "Those are deer tracks". The second one says "No, I think they are racoon tracks".
Tell thst to Phoneix, the kidnap capital of the U.S.
ReplyDeleteIs the crime rate lower than if there were none here? I don't think so. Otherwise there would not be so many illegals in our prison system.

I spent 6 hours in a Mexican jail, separated from my group and my papers. It was a sickening feeling.

Try going on business as a perceived wealthy American. Forget those tourist traps, that isn't the real Mexico.
ReplyDeleteHere is a good article on how Mexico treats it's migrants. Hypocrites

ReplyDeleteMr. Jordan, I am extremely offended by the off color ethnic jokes on your blog. You don't condemn it, so you must condone it.

Btw: What do you call all those blonde jokes?
Two blondes are walking through the woods when they come across a set of tracks. The first one says "Those are deer tracks". The second one says "No, I think they are racoon tracks".
ReplyDelete"Deer tracks"
"Racoon tracks"
"Deer tracks"
"Racoon tracks"
Then they were both hit by a train.
Sounds like most hunters I know.
ReplyDeleteSo JJ leave the blonde jokes up, but not the mexican joke? Juan on Juan is not racist.
ReplyDeleteEthnic jokes are offensive. Bigots can not be expected to understand. It is racist. If you don't see why, you are a bigot.
ReplyDeleteEverything is offensive to someone. Evidently there is no safe topic or joke.
ReplyDeleteits only racist if you are white
ReplyDeleteoh, I forgot to mention that both of the blondes in the above joke were mexicans. Now I bet it gets deleted. It was okay when they were white.
ReplyDeleteThat was a joke?
