Good morning. Cop notes are posted. You may have also noticed the piece about the new drug dog the city has.
There will be some training for the officer who will be handling the dog, so it will be at least 10 weeks before the dog will be "on the street."
Chief Sean Wallace raised money to pay for the dog. He believes it will help with catching some of the drugs that pass through Arkansas City. Police believe a lot of drugs pass through the city.
Drug dealers are using state highways more than Interstates now.

I think Lee will be a fantastic addition to our ACPD team. Drug dogs are worth every penny spent on them. He will come in use more than just drugs, so this is a great added feature to our community. Way to go, ACPD!
