Dont forget dinner
Thanksgiving dinner at the senior center. A community meal. This is a project started by Dotty Smith.
It will be served at 1 p.m. and again at 3 p.m.
Lots of people have donated turkeys, other food items, and volunteers are cooking already.
This was one of the most wonderful things this community has ever come together to do. Dotty Smith and her husband Mel took the lead saw a need and got the ball rolling. Those that helped and those that got help will be grateful for the opportunities that the Smith family did for us.
any word on how this turned out? how many people showed up? I was out of town and couldn't attend.d.
ReplyDeleteThey had a good crowd. about 300 at the first setting and a good number at the second one.
