politics and greed

Lets see the politicans and business leaders talk their way out of this one.
In some cases, bankers and wall street financial firms are getting swine flu vaccine instead of hospitals who need it for high risk patients.

Anyone still say we dont need health care reform?

  1. The prisoners at Gitmo are getting them too. That's even worse.

  2. But exactly how will health care reform help getting the vaccine to the hospitals jj? It's the government handing it out now.

To me, this is just another example of how they are at running health care.

  3. In this case, people with power and money are getting the vaccine while those who need it worst are not.
Same with our current health care system.
If you have the money or insurance, you can get what you need. If you dont have the money, you cant get good heatlh care.
    That is what needs reformed.
Health care should be available for all people.

  4. James you are right. All of Congress, the bureaucrats in Washington and President Obama's children have been vaccinated but not a single child in Arkansas City has! Universal Health care will not change this. Anything the Government gets involved with always cost twice as much, takes twice as long to produce and usually turns out to be crap.

Are you going to make them take the shots if they don't want It?

It is the same with healthcare - it should be made available and affordable - but just how far do you think the Government should go?

I think they will try to overdo it just like everthing else - they will become predatory!

    Thats simply not true!
    Especially with insurance companies!

  8. I agree with the first posters, I can not understand for the life of me why the prisoners are getting the shots before others. The guards I understand.

  11. I think its a sad commentary on our society when movie makers and or actors are the main thinkers and philosophers we have.
What does it say about us when a movie maker can shape public opinion.
