Four years ago today, my son, Sgt. Jerry Mills Jr. age 23, Arkansas City, assigned to the 1st battalion, 13th Armor Regiment, Fort Riley, Kansas, was killed when an improvised explosive device detonated near his Humvee during combat operations in Taji, Iraq. Also killed was Sgt. Donald Hasse of Wichita.
God bless SGT Jerry Mills Jr, to be gone so young it tragic. God Bless SGT Donald Hasse, both true American heros...
