Yahoo sports is reporting that Turner Gill will be named the new football coach at KU.
Gill had a losing record at Buffalo for crying out loud. Buffalo has been a team that makes the list of the worst 10 teams in the nation most seasons.
Gill may be a great coach, I dont know. But, a losing record in the mid-armerican conference doesn't seem to translate to Big-12 football. Maybe the Jayhawks are going to just be a basketball school.

And run that by me again. What had Mangino won before he took the head coachign position at KU? Oh yeah, it was his first head coaching opportunity.
ReplyDeleteI think the fact that Nebraska passed on Gill, one of their own, when they picked their most recent HC speaks volumes.
ReplyDeleteOf course. Not sure why the KU AD didn't check with the fact finders and think tank in Ark City before making their selection.
