Braketology, more health care

Here are two stories I thought were interesting.
Obama fills out his NCAA BKB bracket. Im sure he will get criticized for doing that, just as Bush would have been criticized. The partisanship of politics today is disgusting, which is why I dislike both parties and dont buy into the world view of liberals or conservatives.
Now that ive ticked everyone off, here is the story about obama's bracket

One way to help with the national debt, would be to take advantage of the prez' love of basketball. We could have a lottery, pay $5 a ticket, and the winner gets a pickup game with Obama? be fun eh?

and here is a story about how middle income people cant afford insurance NOW ....

Im having some technical difficulty on the site . hope to get stuff posted before too long.
Live blog is back and seems to be working pretty well.

  1. I know I'm probably one of the ones you expect to be upset about Obama filling out his bracket, but I honestly couldn't care less. I don't dislike Obama personally, just many of his ideas and beliefs. I dislike the idea of moving the country more to the left, no matter who is doing it.

  2. I understand that. Apparently he made a lot of safe picks. No gutsy calls like a 15 seed knocking off a 2.
Somewhere along the line a 10 or 11 seed will be in the final 8. Its just a matter of figuring out which one.
Is anyone here not picking Kansas to win it all?
I think they would be a legitimate pick to win it all. Them, or Kentucky. but i hates kentucky :)

  3. SG - I don't think anyone actually gave your opinion a second thought. Climb down off it, buddy.

  4. By Barry picking his bracket, he is leaving the government alone. We need to give him crayons and pictures to color aand brackets to fill out until 2012 when we can yote his sorry ass out.

  5. I'm glad your back in the live blog business for the Commission meetings! I read on the traveler site where they were no longer going to cover the meetings.
I think you had a better reader response and were the one to do it in the first place so Good Job!

  6. @3:06 Hey, don't speak for me! I give a d@*n what SG says. And while I'm at it, ditto. This is not personal,...if it's Obama or Mickey Mouse, I personally don't care for the Socialist agenda. I prefer to spend my money myself, keep my right to vote, my guns, and my freedom. --Thank you very much.

  7. There was a good article on one of the financial websites last night regarding the new healthcare bill!
It stated the things that were to take place immediately because the actual bill doesn't go into place until 2014!
Their thinking is that people will like the advantages they will get immeidately and then decide they like that type of system!

WHY IS IT that I think the Herd Mentality always ends at the Slaughter House?

  8. Hey 3:06, I was talking to James, as he was saying what he thought conservatives think. Now calm down and let the grown ups talk.

  9. SG - Ahh, grown-up. That explains your narrow-minded crotchetiness. I bet you miss back when you were my age and wanted to do something other than have your leaders tell you what to think.

  10. yizit that when someone disagrees , one is tempted to say that person is not thinking or is narrow minded.
is it to hide the fact that they cannot truly articulate their own opinion, so they call names instead.??

  11. 5:36 figured it out! It's just hilarious the lengths GOPs will go to argue with an obvious troll.

  12. Yeah, I do miss being 13. Good times. I had everything provided for me. I didn't have to work. I was on my parents' insurance. I didn't even have to think for myself. All I had to do was listen to my parents and mooch off them.

Now substitute government for parents and you have your ideal life. I, on the other hand, grew up.
