More fear busters

Here is another link that shows the falseness of some of the fear being peddled out there.

  1. AGAIN, those predictions are based on the CBO report, which is not accurate, as it was only a preliminary assesment that didn't even know what all was in the bill. AND, this is not taking into account the fact that this bill is only the beginning of what the Dems want to do to healthcare.

Fact: Taxes are going up, and private insurance rates are going up. Also, there is no way this thing stays under one trillion dollars or lowers the deficit. Anyone who believes that is crazy.

  3. Here is another link, this one showing that public sentiment may not be as against this as you guys claim.

The other article i posted, the fact checker, showed some places where the dems are clearly wrong. Im just trying to show that the paranoia is a little overdone.
It would be more effective to have calm, reasoned out arguments, than to just shout the sky is falling.
I dont think you will convince people that way, but you could make some intelligent arguments against it if you tried.

  4. Are there some good things that might come out of this bill? Yes. Are they outweighed by the bad that might come out of it? Yes. Yes. Without a doubt Yes.

The main thing that is bad about it? More government control and power.

  5. From CNN March 22nd, 2010:

"A CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll found that 59 percent of those surveyed opposed the bill, and 39 percent favored it. All of the interviews were conducted before the House voted Sunday night, but the contents of the bill were widely known.

In addition, 56 percent said the bill gives the government too much involvement in health care; 28 percent said it gives the government the proper role and 16 percent said it leaves Washington with an inadequate role.

On the question of costs, 62 percent said the bill increases the amount of money they personally spend on health care; 21 percent said their costs would remain the same and 16 percent said they would decrease."

  8. Newt said on Hannady last night that when the Republicans gain control they can do a repeal and replace on the Bill!
He also said there were about 200 pages of good stuff in the bill! Some of that was proposed by the Republicans!

Btw: He also said he didn't originally think
it was going to be as bad as it is now it has been revealed!
He also said that Obama taught Constitutional law! He (Obama) knows exactly what he has done!
He then said "I wonder who's constitution Venezuela?"

He wouldn't go on record and throw his hat in the ring! But we need someone like that to replace these thugs!

The elction of 2010 is important we definately need the right People!
But, even with the Repulican majority there will be grid lock until 2012!
Those who want Freedom need to back Freedom loving candidates!
But, you can bet Obama and company will do everything in their POWER to steal the elections!
Just like they just stole Healthcare!

  9. JJ,
Can you tell me what was wrong with the Medicaid and SCHIP programs? It was for the less fortunate. So why do we need more government control and tax mandates? Please explain.

  10. Amnesty for Illegals will gain him alot of votes - don't you think?

  11. JJ,

    Medicare is basically bankrupt!(IOU's)
If they (the Government) hadn't borrowed or stolen all the money from those trust funds!
They could have simply frozen that program let it pay out to those qualified recipients. Then started a different program(s) for future Generations!
The same could have been done with programs like KPERS!

    But

The lesson is don't ever put too much money in one spot with Government! They simply like to spend (or steal) it!

  12. "Amnesty for Illegals will gain him alot of votes - don't you think?"

Actually, it will when you consider the 15 to 20 million illegals who will then be allowed to vote. And of course they would vote Democrat. The party that robs from the rich and gives to the poor (and illegal).

  13. "...intelligent arguments against it if you tried."

You wouldn't listen if I did, and I did. You've already got your mind made up, jj. Impossible to reason w/you. I give up.

  17. House Democrats report increased threats since health care vote

Now you know where this is leading:

Nancy gets plastic sugery to look like Hanna Montana and Harry gets a Full Face transplant so they can't be recognized! (I would recommend a Bassit Hound)

all on the Publics dime! Of Course!

Then Obama? He will just grow a beard and wear a turbine!

    AND

Barney Frank? Well he'll just star cross dressing!

Take it easy on the lipstick and rouge Barney!

  18. Oh, man, I love it when you guys get like this. I can't wait to see what you spew after things don't quite go as you expect in Nov, then in '12. It's a psychologist's dream full of denial, delusions, and borderline sociopathic behavior. 6:24, 6:08, 5:59, 5:29, 5:10, 4:20, etc, etc.
Yeah, yeah, I know..."Then move to Mexico, ya Socialist!"

  19. Yeah, yeah, I know..."Then move to Mexico, ya Socialist!"

You know you could be right!

But, I'm kind of banking that the "Socialist in charge" aren't done!
That some where when they still want to make decisions for "everyone".
Their type of "Policy" will end up turning against them when it doesn't go the way their backers want!
If they want to use Government as a means to redistribute wealth through "POWER" and not reward merit, acheivement or responsibliity?
It may not turn out that everyone agrees!
    Even their own loyal backers!

Who live in the States who will be forced to make radical changes to acommodate their healthcare bill!

    AND

Even the people from whom we are borrowing so much MONEY!

Of course they can just blame it on BUSH!

  20. 7:10 am,

I'm sure the progressives in charge of our new health care have seen to it that there will be plenty of insurance coverage for people like me to seek psychiatric care. Whatever happened to the 'I'm okay, you're okay'? We should all get a trophy or certificate of merit just for participating in the discussion on this blog-don't you agree?
