Sundays thought for the day

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!
Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippian 4:4-7

  3. I have to admit that I am intrigued by some of the Mega Churches in the U.S. I often wonder how those dynamic leaders can capture thousands of people and get them to their churches. Then keep them and then continue growing? So I usually end up checking out their websites!

  4. Everybody knows that god's love is directly proportionate to the size of the church you go to.

  5. We are the church. Church is not a building.
What is called a "church" is just a building where the some of the people of the church go to meet. :)

  6. Yeah, I know. The more money you spend on your church building, the more god loves you. Especially if you have a water slide and a 900 ft Jesus.

  7. Mark 12:41-44
Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts.
But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a fraction of a penny.
Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, "I tell you the truth, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others.
They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything-all she had to live on."
