Cop notes are posted.
Sorry its so late. Just having a hard time getting anything going today.
Some really good comments on yesterday's post about growth and business and such.
We had a good live blog last night with Curt Freeland. More are scheduled.
I was thinking about having a live blog tomorrow morning. Let me know if you are interested and ill turn it on.
More news coming later today
I know this is off topic but I just found out by experience that when searching the archives on "Brand X" you can't retrieve archives without a membership and money up front. Very different than the old version.
ReplyDeleteNo surprise there, you can't even read the full articles anymore either. I noticed I can't leave comments on the opinion poll now. I don't bother to go to their website anymore, whats the point?
ReplyDeleteI agree, not much there. I was just doing some research on local programs and tried to access the archives. Not going to pay for the information, escpecially if it is incomplete. The only reason I go there at all is for the employment ads. Guess I will have to find another source.
ReplyDeleteAll the more reason to come here instead.
ReplyDeleteI cant even access my own articles anymore. If you do a web search, you will not be able to access articles that are related.
So join the revolution :)
I ran into the same thing but here is a work around that might help:
ReplyDelete1. Open Google
2. Type search words:website domain
For example: "water bill":arkcity.net
3. Click 'Search'
4. If you click the headline of the returned result you will get a '404 Error' but if you look towards the bottom of the excerpt you will see a link 'Cached' - click that to get to the article.
Google crawls the internet and takes snapshots of content unless directed not to do so. It will not work for everything but its worth a try and better then paying $5.00.
Thanks BD,
ReplyDeleteI tried it and it worked beautifully.
