Arkansas City will not be the focus now, but we can still talk about the town. For now the blog is a blog in search of an identity. Considering what the new niche will be.

Burford returns to life
Friday was a special day at the Buford Theater in Arkansas City. It was the first live performance in about 50 years. The restoration of the Burford contiues, but Ellen and Jean Snell - who are heading up the project - wanted to have something so the community could see the progress being made.
The stage itself is still in somewhat of a makeshift state, and there is still a ways to go to restore te gradeur to the theater,
But it was still a milestone to have a live performance, Ellen Snell said.
More performances are scheduled for August, including an open house along the way.
In its day, it was one of the best vaudeville houses around. They are trying to restore it to its original condition.
Above are a few pictures from Friday's performance.
There's a few more pictures on the site.
