Worksession big boxed

The worksession was not all that interesting, but the conversation at the end was.
The TIF district idea came up again.
Add to that some charges of secret meetings, and we were on our way.
Whether these secret meetings were illegal meetings is kinda doubtful, but both Dotty Smith and Mell Kuhn are feeling left out of the circle.
What happened was, Jay Warren talked to City manager Steve Archer, who in turned talked to Patrick McDonald. That sounds like the beginning of a serial meeting at least, but the three of them could have met legally. It would only be a serial meeting - which would be illegal - if one of those three had talked with another city commissioner.
Ill have a more complete story in an hour or so.
The big box debate just will not go away will it?
There are some interesting rifts going on with the commission these days.
Not being able to live blog doesnt help in our efforts to bring that to you.
I did notice that Brand-X was not able to live blog tonight either. So we are both being treated the same.

  2. What did you expect! They have had two more years to add to the scheme. I mean plan!
They might have an amusement park along side the Lowes and Appleby's or one other store.
Goff Industrial, Shopping and Amusement Park.
    Micheal Jackson would be proud!

  3. What is the fascination w/ Appleby's?? Have you eaten there? It is very bland. It's not a buffet, it wouldn't work here.

Have you asked the city for a formal latter of denial?
What would it take dollar wise a month, for you to be able to blog these meetings.
Maybe before they figure it out you can get Cox
to install your own internent conection in city hall :) Shouldn't be to hard to come up with something, the Water Czar isn't to swift..

  5. I think the thing that is the most intersting of all is the players and how they are all related to the inner circle that controls or at least wants to control the city.

  7. Costs $60 a month with a two year contract.
The city could spend $200 for a small piece of hardware that would eliminate any concerns and allow the public to have access.
I havent asked for a latter, or even a letter. it is something they do not have to do.

  11. I imagine the real truth to the internet access stuff with the commission is: Warren, Snell, and McDonald are increasingly embarrassed by Mel and his actions at the meetings and does not want a play by play going on. Mel and Dotty are an insult to the good people of this city.
