Does anyone recognize this?
I was not expecting this sort of scene anywhere in Cowley County. There is a lot to discover around town. This is very near the Prairie View Christian Camp where the DARE camp is being held this week.
It is kind of in a remote area.
There are pictures from the day's activities on the web site www.arkcityrevived.com
Spooky Hollow!
ReplyDeleteSpooky hollow...and just think, that is the better road to Prairie Christian Camp.
ReplyDeleteI tried the other one, really scary.
ReplyDeleteholes big enough for a truck to fall in.
I turned around and took the "better" road.
Yes, I recognized it right away. I grew up in the area. My family's property is at the top of the hill.
ReplyDeleteSpooky Hollow -- everyone here knows where that is!
ReplyDeleteSpooky Hollow! Still the place to go at night! Have you been on Snake Hill JJ!
ReplyDeleteI'm amazed, I thought everyone in town knew this place. You gotta go see it at night.
ReplyDeletewhere is snake hill?
ReplyDeleteis there another spooky hollow?
i know there are places i dont know about,
i want to see it all :)
Snake Hill is about a mile and a half North of Grandview Church on 91st Rd.
ReplyDeleteI think they used to have a hayride that went through Spooky Hollow - maybe they still do? I never got to go on one but I know I always wanted too.
ReplyDeleteMake sure your brakes are in good condition if you drive down snake hill.
ReplyDeleteYes that is true. I don't know how many people drove of the hill and walked up to our house to call a tow truck when I was little.
ReplyDeleteNow that musta sucked!
