Sunday, almost out of Kentucky

Around 7 p.m. we were walking around Princeton, Kentucky, when we realized that we would not get out of Kentucky today - Sunday.
Its taken us two days to get about 500 miles. well half of yesterday was at a family gathering near Knoxville, TN. Its been a nice ride through the back roads.
Little towns keep distracting us.
We went through a lot of back roads in Kentucky today. Some were pretty interesting. Went through a lot of tobacco fields.
The picture with this is tobacco plants. Was not sure if people in Kansas knew what they looked like. Pretty early in the growing season. Plants get to be around 5 foot tall.
I was involved in growing tobacco as a kid in East Tennessee.
Anyhoo. We also went through a town called Cadiz, where there are a lot of ceramic pigs all painted up. Remember the burros in New Mexico?
Well its just like that except its pigs. They have a big ham festival and the pigs are a part of that.
We need to get something like that going in Arkansas City.
Princeton was interesting too. Just had interesting buildings. We found it by accident. A GPS is a great thing, and sometimes it sends you to interesting places.
We will have a long day of driving tomorrow, but most of that will be in Missouri and Kansas, which is area that we have covered before.
Should be home tomorrow night.
Ill be home in time to cover the city commission meeting Tuesday.
I will try to get the cop notes posted tomorrow, but it might be evening.
Should be interesting to see what happens with the live blogs.
Anyone want to sponsor that ?
See yall soon.
