Live blog redux

Good morning.
The cop notes are updated on the site. www.arkcityrevived.com
We had a nice long live blog last night with City Commissioner Mell Kuhn.
I had some technical difficulties with my computer, but it went pretty well anyway. We had 58 people stop by, which for a live blog is not bad.
Points of interest from the event - other than my computer crashing - included Kuhn saying he would support a TIF for industrial use. He remains very opposed to using one for retail, but he said in certain conditions, like industrial, he would favor a TIF district.
Another person brought up the rumor that Kuhn was sending text messages to doctors during, or after, the city commission meetings concerning the hospital board. Kuhn denied doing that.
I still do not know what the text messages said, or why it would matter whether he did or not.
The live blog can still be read on this blog.
City commission meets tonight at 7. They may vote on the budget.

  1. We are but a tiny microcosm of what we are seeing on the national scene.

When we get piled upon one another in large cities, as in Europe,
we shall become as corrupt as Europe.

I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the

My reading of history convinces me that most bad government results from too much government.

No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms.

The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.

To compel a man to subsidize with his taxes the propagation of ideas which he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical.

    Thomas Jefferson said in 1802:
'I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered..'

  4. Do you people actually scrutinize what you post or is it just your ammo to go around posting fake Thomas Jefferson quotes? I don't have time to check on all of them but that last one is fake... Thomas Jefferson did not say that.

Seriously take 3 seconds to google something before you start posting junk that someone sent you in an email forward.
