City commission work session today at 5:30 p.m.
The budget is on the agenda. People come out for various events when it affects them, but no one comes out for the budget, which probably affects people more than they realize.
Not a lot of changes in it this year, and no tax increase.
Also remember that the regular meeting has been changed to Monday at 7, because of the National Night Out festivities on Tuesday.
Here is what is on the agenda.
1. Hold hearing on City budget for 2010.
2. Consider ordinance adopting City budget for 2010.
3. Consider ordinance adopting the budgeted pay plan for 2010.
4. Review bids and consider resolution authorizing project and awarding contract for repair of 3rd Street Storm Sewer Line.
5. Consider resolution authorizing amendment to Aqua Tech’s contract for engineering
services for the design/build contract for water plant replacement/upgrade.
6. Consider ordinance approving the Preliminary Official Statement, authorizing Lease
agreements, and authorizing the PBC to issue bonds for new hospital.
7. Consider resolution on status of possible dangerous structure, 521 N. C.
8. Consider Mayor’s appointments to City Boards.
