Monday morning

Cop notes are posted.
I have also updated the site, the outdoors page and the health page.
More updates are coming this morning, Sports being one of them.
Cooler weather is here. I hate to see that. I am more of a hot weather person. Cooler weather is depressing because it means winter is not that far away.
Its interesting how weather affects people. My wife and I are opposites on this. While I am feeling like hibernating, she is suddenly filled with energy and is ready to take on the world - and a bajillion other household projects that will need my input and labor.
When summer comes, its just the opposite. I wake up and am ready to roll, while she wants out of the heat.
Its just an observation of human nature. I dont think you can do much to change natural ebbs and flows of energy. At least, if you recognize it, you can adjust accordingly.

  1. I'm ready to hibernate too. I hate cold weather and I am tired of the dreary cloudy days. Could nap for hours in the winter!

  2. JJ - in my opinion, if you are going to post cop notes, you need to make sure you do it for every day or it makes it look like you are covering up for someone. If you want to be a legitimate news source, you should either do it all the time, or none of the time.

  4. I am not the original poster, but I am interested in knowing what happened in the 1500 block of West Colorado on that Wednesday that you missed (Sept 23rd). Police and Ambulance crews were on scene (yet again), but there was nothing in the notes.

  6. HOLY COW BATMAN

it is happening right under your noses and you don't care is the killer

    talk about conspiracy and coverup

the medical office complex building plan has been changed once again

now we get a smaller hospital and it isn't laid out as well as it was

they say it is to save money

they had a very good workable plan

what is different about this one you ask?

AC Industries gets the nod to build the office part. how did this come about you ask?
where was the public scrutiny of this process?

I say graft and corruption and the people are either unwhitting uncaring or part of the scam

Medical issue, not for the news. Just because the police show up does not mean it is a police issue. Sometimes the police show up to help the EMS crews. I am sure you would not want your medical issues blastered all over the paper, they probably wouldn't spell it right anyway!

  9. it is the medical office building - adjacent to the hospital, that will be smaller.
i dont think bids have been let yet for either the hospital or the medical office building.
and when did ACI get into the construction business? :)

  10. October 5, 2009 2:30 PM,

If it was a medical call, then I agree I don't care what it was, but when you see police at a residence about once a week, you gotta consider the safety of the surrounding neighborhood and ask questions. There has been a drive by shooting at the residence in question within the last year, and MANY visits by the police.

  11. That is interesting considering the voters passed a 1/2 cent sales tax based on the original proposal! Would ACI own the building on City property and lease it to the City or the Doctors?
It probably does help to have people on the inside!

  13. Nope! A net won't work, you have to set a trap and bait it with $100.00 bills!
    Maybe a dumptruck load!

Thank god for the conspiracy nuts, to keep an eye on the powers to be and uptown heros, who continue to live the high life at the working tax payers expense. They are also important to correct the information city hall feeds JJ and he reports as fact, without checking. Just read the stories for the last three months and the you will find that unless the report was in error, the 4500 feet is from the hospital building and the office pavilion was always planed to be a seperate operation as a rental proposition. bet you next week we'll have more "changes" being "reported".
