Good morning all.
Short parade last night. It was good, but it was very short. Not sure why that was.
Looked like there were lots of people out there. and at the carnival and the food booths.
What has been your favorite food so far?
What will you try new this year?
I took some pictures but they turned out awful.

The weather is supposed to clear off, so should be ok for the Bulldog game tonight.
Last game at Curry Field. I still say its a shame there has been no recognition of that fact. ..

Yeah, parade was really short. We were sitting there, wondering "this is it?". Maybe the economy has something to do with it. My wife and I both thought it was a bit ironic that the theme is "bring on the bands", and there was not a single band in the parade.
ReplyDeleteHas anyone ever noticed that when it comes to commenting on this blog, no one rarely has anything to say about the good things that happen. I have been the only one that has congratulated the Cowley Volleyball girls for being ranked 2nd in the nation. That's a big accomplishment, yet no one gives a damn. But when it comes to politics or some other touchy subject everyone has to put their negative two cents in. Sure is a lot of negativity in this town.

ReplyDeleteI did think it odd that there was no band in the Wednesday night parade...first time that has happened in years. I know the kids have lots to do with football games, parade, field show and some are involved in the jazz band for coronation BUT perhaps this year with the theme centering on bands they could have pulled themselves together one more time. This waa the time for our band to shine...

ReplyDeleteIt s true that people tend to talk about the bad things, and not the good.
If the volleyball team had been in a scandal, there would be lots of talk.
They win the conference and are ranked no. 2 nationally, ... nothing.
They also beat the team that is no 1. at a touranment during the season.
This team could win it all.
I dont thing people realize how impressive that really is.
Especially with only three returning players and a new coach.
Apparently there was a link between tonights FB "entertainment" and a previous incident. Was anyone at the game in '75?
