In rural northeast Kansas. Its almost 7 p.m., you have a quarter tank of gas. The GPS says its only 9 miles down this dirt road to another road that will take you to a town, that may or may not have a gas station.
what do you do?
My sweet wife hits the gas and off we go.
I shrug and take another look at the paper map and change lenses on my camera.
This is adventure.
The road got pretty rough a couple times, but we made it to the little town just fine. By then it was nearly 8 and time to start looking for a hotel room.
The GPS says there isnt one for 20 miles. But we found one. Ran by some nice Indians. Middle of nowhere but had one of the best WiFi signals ive seen in a long time.
GPS is a great invention, but it is not always right, and it does not always know road conditions. But this road worked out pretty good.
"...may not have a gas station. what do you do?"
ReplyDeleteFunny. Not funny at the same time. Looks like you were MILES from nowhere. Have fun, jj.
