Oklahoma State's sports information office has just released a decision from the NCAA concerning receiver Dez Bryant.

NCAA Announces Bryant Decision
STILLWATER – The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) has informed Oklahoma State University that junior wide receiver Dez Bryant will remain suspended for one calendar year. He will be eligible to return to game action in September of 2010.
OSU is appealing the decision to the NCAA Student-Athlete Reinstatement Committee and could learn that committee’s decision as early as next week.
OSU officials will have no further comment on the matter until the appeal process is complete.
This is off topic, but wanted someone to put this out there. With Arkalalah begining all I can remember was the sight of downtown after the festivities. It was so embarassing! There was trash everywhere. This year, can we all work together to make our city look great? Clean up after yourself!!
ReplyDeleteThat would be nice if people would do that, but with the small group of people that read this website, I don't see it happening. Maybe if the ACPD would go around and start handing out littering tickets, word would spread much faster.
ReplyDeleteI think it's ridiculous that Dez Bryant is suspended. Yes he lied. No he did not do anything wrong by working out with Sanders. He lied about it because he was nervous. He then admitted that he lied. At least he had the honesty to do that! They are punishing him for coming forward and doing the right thing. I bet if he played for a different team in Oklahoma the consequences may have been different! GO POKES!!!!
ReplyDeleteHe shouldn't have lied to the NCAA in the first place. He did nothing wrong by working out with a former NFL Player. He obviously has a guilty conscious, so there is probably more to the story that the NCAA hasn't learned about yet. By the way, BOOMER SOONER!!!!!!!
