We are having strong thunderstorms until about 9:30 Here is a warning from the national weather service.
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN WICHITA HAS ISSUED A
* SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR... SOUTHERN COWLEY COUNTY IN SOUTH CENTRAL KANSAS.
* UNTIL 915 AM CDT.
* AT 820 AM CDT... NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE METEOROLOGISTS WERE TRACKING SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING DAMAGING WINDS UP TO 60 MPH. THESE STORMS WERE LOCATED ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM 12 MILES WEST OF ARKANSAS CITY TO 14 MILES SOUTHWEST OF ARKANSAS CITY TO 26 MILES SOUTH OF ARKANSAS CITY... AND MOVING EAST AT 40 MPH.
