Sunday morning

Im getting a late start this morning, so I wont have time to post pictures from last night's show. Ill try to get a gallery up this afternoon.
The River of Life show was good last night. Small crowd, but we all had a good time.
Some of the groups I had not heard before.
We have one more monthly show, (July 18 in Winfield) and then there is the big festival in October.
But last night was real good.
At the end "someone" came up with the bright idea of getting all the musicians on stage at once to jam a little. That is a logistic nightmare normally, but most of us decided that if it didn't work, it wouldn't matter.
It did come together well as far a the sound goes.
Then the music was amazing. It was a very special time of music. Very different styles of music and they played classic songs that basically everyone knows. Or at least most musicians know. You would have thought they had played together forever.
There are special times in music when "things just happen," and that was one of those times. It was a real blessing for those that were there.
It was a very spiritual moment.

Someone posted on another string last night, that it seems to always rain when we have one of our shows. I had not thought of it, but it is true, for the monthly shows anyway.
It did rain briefly the morning of the last music festival, but that came and went quickly.
The monthly shows have been different. In fact, the first one was called off because we had an ice storm. Rained hard all through the next one at Calvary Chapel. Rained hard at the end at Wilson Park, and then late last night there was a good bit of rain.
Not sure what that means.
Does seem odd though.

  1. It means that "the rain falls on the Just and the Unjust Equally"!

  2. Maybe it means God wants to make sure there will still be a river for the next show, so he makes it rain at the end of them. Kinda kidding, kinda not. Anyways, glad the show went good, we spent all day in Wichita, going to the Zoo and shopping. Anyone here been to see the new tiger exhibit? It was great!
