He may resign today. It's been an interesting story about how he misled people about where it was just recently when he went there. Staffers told the media he was hiking the Appalachian Trail, and some published a story about it.
The newspaper there got its hands on emails between him and the woman and published them.

What do you all think about the paper publishing the emails?
I thought it was interesting that, in the comments section after the story, several people were more upset that the paper published the emails than about the emails themselves.
I think his marital problems are a personal matter. I'm not saying he is wrong. It's just none of my business, really. After the Bill and Monica affair, I'm really numb to these kind of things.
ReplyDeleteThe only thing which shocks me anymore is that the political men still think they can get away with it. They should know by now they are under tight security and constant prying of the media. The only thing different between their situation and those of Hollywood elite is that when their personal lives go on news stands, there is usually a press conference which follows.
I think if the emails were from a personal email account, then the newspaper that intercepted and printed them should be prosecuted for invasion of privacy.
ReplyDeleteAs far as the affair, who cares. They all think they can get away with it, and they all get caught. I would expect the republicans to have better morals than that, but it seems with power comes temptation, and some still fall prey.

ReplyDeleteOne would think all politicians would have better morals. Doesn't matter what party he is affiliated with. If I remember correctly this is the same guy that was mouthing off about bill clinton and family values,also was on the impeachment committee. Now what makes this guy any different? Foot and mouth disease, what comes around just went back around to this guy. So yeah, he does deserve the publicity.
