I don't have a Sunday devotion ready.
But I did want to tell you all about my other web site, which is a bible study site.
I have had this site for years, but have not updated it in a long time.
I still have not updated it, but I hope to start doing that more.
It is a site I created before I moved to Kansas.
it is at : www.jesushunter.com
It is kind of a funny name. I wanted something that would be easy to remember.
I also believe in continued revelation of truth, and continued discovery.
"Finding" God was a great thing, but that is just the beginning of the journey.
The site is about the continual search for spiritual truth, and continued discovery about Jesus.
That is how I came up with the name.
If you find him don't shoot Jesus please. He makes a great taco.
ReplyDelete1 Corinthians 2: 9-10
ReplyDelete9."No eye has seen,
no ear has heard,
no mind has conceived
what God has prepared for those who love him"
10.but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit.
James 1:5-6
ReplyDelete5. "If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given him."
6. "But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who douts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind."

ReplyDeleteI will also send wild beasts among you, which shall rob you of your children." (Leviticus 26:22)
ReplyDelete"Now kill all the boys. And kill every woman who has slept with a man, but save for yourself every girl who has never slept with a man." (Numbers 31:17-18)
"A curse on him who is lax in doing the LORD's work!
A curse on him who keeps his sword from bloodshed!" (Jeremiah 48:10)
"The Lord commands: "... slay old men outright, young men and maidens, little children and women" (Ezechial 9:4-6)
@6:56 put it in perspective if you are able.
ReplyDeleteI thought about deleting it, but maybe some scripture will help the poor soul.
ReplyDeleteThen again, he probably cant understand anything he is reading as he copies and pastes from somwhere.
You mock the word of the lord JJ?
ReplyDelete2Timothy 2:14 Keep reminding them of these things. Warn them before God against quarreling about words; it is of no value, and only ruins those who listen.
ReplyDelete2Ti 2:15 Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.
2Ti 2:16 Avoid godless chatter, because those who indulge in it will become more and more ungodly.
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
ReplyDeleteJohn 8:32
Genesis 2:19
ReplyDeleteAnd out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.
Man, that must have taken Adam a day or two to name millions of species of animal huh?
"Then again, he probably cant understand anything he is reading as he copies and pastes from somwhere."
ReplyDeleteYeah, because anyone who doesn't believe in jj's god is a moron who can barely speak English. You know, like Christopher Hitchens and Richard Dawkins. Uneducated losers.
Yes, summa cum laude in college but I just can't understand.
ReplyDeleteMy other post was much better but you deleted it. I guess you have to agree with JJ to post on here.
ReplyDeleteNo you just have to be civil.
ReplyDelete“You shall not molest or oppress an alien, for you were once aliens yourselves in the land of Egypt.”
ReplyDelete~Exodus 22:22
Leviticus 26:29
ReplyDeleteYou will eat the bodies of your sons and daughters.
@2:27pm Anyone can put a verse up there and be shocking. Can you put the verse in context with the rest of scripture. That's the important part. I can take a sentence from any book, but if I don't put it into context the sentence itself is meaningless.
ReplyDeleteBoy Ralph, you must read some far out books.
ReplyDeleteThe bat is not a bird
ReplyDeleteLEV 11:13 And these are they which ye shall have in abomination among the fowls; they shall not be eaten, they are an abomination: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the ospray,
LEV 11:14 And the vulture, and the kite after his kind;
LEV 11:15 Every raven after his kind;
LEV 11:16 And the owl, and the night hawk, and the cuckow, and the hawk after his kind,
LEV 11:17 And the little owl, and the cormorant, and the great owl,
LEV 11:18 And the swan, and the pelican, and the gier eagle,
LEV 11:19 And the stork, the heron after her kind, and the lapwing, and the bat.
Silly argument.
ReplyDeleteOf course, people at the time thought they were birds. Even if the writer had known, it would have confused the readers at that time.
It does not affect the story at all.
It doesnt matter.
wouldn't god know whether it's a bird or a mammal?
ReplyDeleteGod would know yes.
ReplyDeleteBut you need to read my answer again.
There needs to be a bit of common sense.
Applying common sense to the bible is what got me where I am today. Atheism!
ReplyDeleteYou must have live a sheltered life or you never would / could say that.
ReplyDeleteDon’t read the Old Testament
