Thursday

Good morning.
The latest police report has been posted on the site. Not much happening police wise this week. Too hot even for criminals I guess.
I did ask chief Sean Wallace about the case where the gas meter had been tampered with, and workers got the family out of the house that was filled with gas.
Wallace said it is being treated as a criminal case, but "there have been no developments." The investigation continues.

  1. No surprise there is no developments. Heck we been waiting a year on our case and still no developments.

  2. So the way I am understanding, the lady heard alot of noise in the middle the night, but instead of calling the police, she just moves her kids in the living room? Not trying to say anything bad or anything like that, but I would be inclined to call the police if I heard that much racket in the middle of the night.

  3. I would be inclined to arm myself, search out the source of the racket, and then call the police if it is warranted.

  4. I would to, but, what if you were a single mother with young children and another on the way?
Easy to second guess in that situation.

  5. I just don't think this sounds like a random act, why would someone just pick a house and tamper with the gas meter -- I bet it is a domestic situation.

  6. I agree that lady shouldn't find out on her own, I'd call the police in her case. Just like I wouldn't want my mother in her seventies going out in the middle night to check a noise out.

  7. I didn't say I recommended it to anyone but myself! I love how a person can't even make a statement on here without people twisting it all around.

"What?!?! You want the preganant mom to grab her machine gun and start firing it at randon next to a church?"

Yes, that's exactly what I want!

  8. Well, this really isn't about you so chillax. Anyone with your hot temper doesn't need a gun in the first place!

  11. Adopt a dog from the humane society!

I have two dogs and if anyone so much as walks down the street or the alley - I know about it. If I get nervous or think someone is being shady, I call the police.

  12. What doses "tamper with" mean?

  13. My 16 year old says chillax a lot. She also thinks she knows it all, but really knows very little about the real world.

  16. In this case, "Tamper with" meant that someone took the top plate off the meter.
    That led to gas escaping.
I am not sure how that meant it was going into the house. Maybe the meter was right next to the house.

I only call if I am actually fearful and I think people should. I am not out to waste a police officers time but I am also not going to take my chances if I think there might be a prowler!

  20. That's what guns are for. Oh wait, you are a liberal, so you think only the cops and the criminals should own guns.

  21. Chillax is a combination of "Chill", as in "chill out", and "relax". The kids are fond of saying it, but I think it's "stutarded".

  22. Oh, yeah...guns are great....what could possibly go wrong?

Here is an interesting thought - Why don't you ask me what my beliefs are instead of dictating them to me?

    @ 10:59

I had to google what 'dyed in the wool' meant you old fart. Quit trying to trick me.

    Liberal? Yes. Whiner? Hardly. =)
