a 10-year-old who had been reported missing, was found after a two-hour search, hiding at a friend's house Tuesday night. At approximately 9:00 pm, Officers of the Arkansas City Police Department were dispatched to 1130 N. 10th Street for the report of a missing child. Officer made contact with the mother of the child. The mother stated that she last saw her son who is age 10 at approximately 8:00 p.m.
Numerous people in the area began assisting in the efforts to locate the juvenile. The juvenile was later located as it was learned he had been hiding at a friend’s house who let him sneak in the window and hide in his room. The juvenile was returned home safely.
