On the road

We are going on the road again, just for a couple of days.
Perfect driving weather right now. We often travel with the dogs, and it gets a little tricky in the summer with the heat.
Its a bit early for fall foilage, and I doubt we will see any, but I did come across the following article which claims to identify the top 10 fall foilage drives in the u.s.

Any list opens debate, but one is in Kansas, which is a little hard to believe. It does mention one in Arkansas, which sounds somewhat reasonable. But the road from Siloam Springs, Ark., up to Fayettevile Ark., and beyond into Missouri, is one of the best I have seen and its not on there. The one they describe sounds like it is near there.
I suppose it is possible we might hit the one in Kansas today or tomorrow just to see if the drive itself is worthwhile. We are heading sort of in that direction. We have not explored much in the northeast part of the state, so we are starting to go that way some.
I know the car show is today. I like the car show, but we need to be on the road now.
We will be back tomorrow evening.
