How has the terrorist attack on that fateful day affected you?
Has it changed the way you do anything? The way you think?

Well 9-9-09 comes first and there is a underlying concern by some about this date as it is 666 turned upside down!
ReplyDeleteIf you listen to some people there is magic in numbers. Which may have some merit due to the things that have been accomplished through their use for good and evil.
In this digital age it becomes even more evident that the mechanics (the things we take for granted) of the universe are precise and predictable. That's not always the case with Mnakind.
Just in the generations alive today they have seen the industrial revolution, the rapid increase in technology even a man on the moon
and robots on Mars!
By contrast their has been the Atomic, Neutron and Hydrogen bombs. Btw: I once saw a retired miiltary expert who said that an atomic bomb the size of one dropped on Japan was the trigger for the hydrogen bomb.
While we are watching intently for something from outer space or a threat from an unfriendly source. We are sitting on a super volcano in Yellowstone that is certainly predicited to erupt. Quite possibly with devastaing results -
some say a kill zone of 600 mi. radius.
I think the reason 9-11-09 had such an impact was that on this earth where we are subject to natural disasters it is difficult for us to undersatnd the desire by some to intenionally
destroy lives on a massive scale!
I saw the second plane hit the tower live on TV while preparing for work on GMA. Listen to it all day on the radio and on TV at night. I think because we are in this "age of communication" that it had its greatest impact through showing the suffering that resulted from the evil plans of a few men!
I was at work when it happened. It was also my son's 4th birthday. We had TVs at work, and people started crowding around the TVs to see what was going on. Later that day, gas had gone up 30 cents (to 1.58); people were saying it would go up to $2.00. We celebrated my son's birthday like normal that night.
ReplyDeleteThe only inconvenience I have noticed is the increased security at the airport. Or, I have just gotten use to everything. My son turns 12 this year; we're celebrating 9/11 by having a birthday party, and maybe going to the football game.
